NYFW/ HOW TO WEAR SWEATPANTS X HEELS

Photography by Tati Poly

One of the most exciting things that happened to me this New York Fashion Week was an exclusive opportunity to style a ONE-OF-A-KIND denim jacket that was created by Levis X JayDee  to raise money for St. Jude Children’s Hospital. I feel so honored to be a part of such a wonderful event!

Plus it was a perfect chance for a small experiment with a hot fall «SWEATPANTS & HEELS» trend! I have never thought I would say that (10 years ago I would better kill myself than wear sweats with heels), but that version of sporty and chic kinda style I love much more than the well known sneakers and sequins mix. Even though I always knew how to pull off sneakers in public they still do not exactly exude high style for me, they are more an off-duty uniform. But the idea of giving a little bit of glam with heels to my favorite sweats does not sound for me crazy these days… Maybe because of heels, I mean my unconditional love to them? Well (hell!), yes! Next time will  wear them with the highest Loubs in my closet, because rules are meant to be broken!

BALLERINA STYLE/ FALL COLORS / NYFW

Photography by Tati Poly

There are a few things that make me more excited than new heels (mostly Louboutins if being exact)! Seriously, I am such a sucker for them. Perhaps it has something to do with my never ending love of the ballet. I used to be a ballerina when I was 16 years old and since that time I have never missed a chance standing on my toes (heels, ha!). So, when the dance-inspired looks hit the runways (just try to imagine my excitement!)  I got immediately thinking of creating something really feminine and graceful, but very powerful at the same time (as I were playing a starring role in Black Swan!) for my NYFW #OOTD.

I paired a black and red ombre pleated skirt and an easy black body with my new formidable  Loubies with long spikes.  And then completed the outfit with ballerina’s signature sleek hair and dark shade Louboutin lipstick and nail polish  to embrace my strong (Black Swan’s) side!

Huge thanks to Jardin Deluxe Fleurs for the roses for my Black Swan kinda photo shoot. It really felt like on stage!
