BALI TRIP ROUND UP

Bali is a magical place. No, it’s even more than a place! It's a mood, an aspiration, a tropical state of mind! The beaches are like a paradise and my favorite thing about going to Bali, is staying somewhere in the jungle where you are surrounded by nature. And this is one of the best experiences ever!

(Scroll down to read where to stay, eat and what to do In Bali and for more pictures!)

It’s been our longest flight so far (total travel time from JFK to DPS was 28 hours and on the way back we spent 36 hours to get home).  Even though we flew in business class, we were so exhausted for at least 2 days after we arrived. And even though personally, I really enjoy the process, I like airports, staying in lounges  and flying and loved Bali so much I have to admit that next time I would  rather fly to Mexico in economy class or even to Hawaii  (my all time favorite place for a beach getaway!). But again Bali is a living postcard and at least ones in a lifetime you MUST SEE IT!

First we stayed at InterContinental Bali resort that facing the famous and one of the cleanest sandy white beaches in Bali Jimbaran beach. Their balinese-themed décor and well manicured gardens are just amazing. And our suite with a privet wing and a really big closet  (that’s so rear for any resorts) was fantabulous! I wish I had more time to spend in there but there are so many more things to do in other South Bali areas… Like...( scroll down to read and see!)

Green Bowl Beach is truly abandoned paradise! However to get to the beach you have to go down like hundreds of concrete steps before you finally can sink your feet into the water! But even from above the view is breathtaking!

The High Cliff at Melasti Beach reminds me of Death Valley but with a lagoon on one side! Loved it so much and wish we also could visit the Melasti beach near Tanah Lot, where after the rain, a spectacular waterfall often appears on the clifftop!

After spending a few days surrounding beautiful beaches we moved to Ubud into an amazing private villa at The Samaya  Bali Ubud. One of the most expensive hotels in  Bali, but if you are up for it you will definitely have unforgettable experience. Just imagine a very beautiful villa with a privet pool in the middle of the jungle. It was surreal, to say the least. That view on Ayung River always took my breath away!
